Going toward the south from the north side of the Fuefuki River, you see some alluvial fans on the opposite side of the river. The Kyodogawa Alluvial Fan around Shakado Rest Area has the typical shape of an alluvial fan like we see in geography textbooks. The alluvial fan is well drained, making it idea for peaches and grapes.
Between late March and early April, peach blossoms are in full bloom, covering the south side of the Fuefuki River in pink to create a fantastic scenery.
