Miroku-do Hall, located in Nakajiku, Kamiyoshida-cho Town, enshrines a statue of Jikigyo Miroku, founder of the Miroku branch of the faith of Mount Fuji pilgrimage associations called Fujiko, and a key figure in the development of the Fujiko faith. Jikigyo Miroku was originally a merchant who prospered in Edo. At the age of 17, he took to Mount Fuji worship and began engaging in activities to spread the Fujiko faith on the side while engaging in business. In 1733, he fasted on Eboshi-iwa Rock at Waystation 7.5 on Mount Fuji, and died. It is said that Fujiko popularity surged thereafter.
