Jitoku-in Temple is home to the grave of Takeda Nobuharu (? – 1413), twelfth head of the Kai Takeda Clan. Nobuharu’s residence (Chino Residence) was said to be located in today’s Enzanchino area in Koshu City, as indicated by various vestiges that include the zoning of the area, remains of water channels and earthen embankments surrounding the temple, and place names in the vicinity such as Minamikoji, Maekoji, Matoba, and Daimon, among others.
Takeda Nobuharu actively aided temples in the environs of today’s Koshu city. The Zushi altar case for storing Buddhist images and scriptures that Nobuharu donated to Daizen-ji Temple (Katsunuma-cho, Koshu City) remains and continues to protect the main deity of the temple.
