Shotoku-ji Temple is located in Shotokuji, Yamanashi City near the border with Fuefuki City. On the grounds of the temple is a stone tower said to be erected as a memorial for Takeda Shingen’s grandfather Takeda Nobunawa.
The stone tower was originally a Gorinto Tower, or five-ringed tower, but the bottommost ring that serves as the base of the tower has been lost. It has been designated a Tangible Cultural Property of Yamanashi City as a memorial tower for Takeda Nobunawa.
Eun-in Temple in Tsukahara-cho, Kofu City is well known as the family temple where Takeda Nobunawa’s grave lies, but there is a legend that places Nobunawa’s grave in the vicinity of Shotokuji Fruit Sorting Center near the temple.
