This is the grave of Nichiren Shonin near the site of Goso-an. The underside of the roof of the Worship Hall is Chidori-hafu (a triangular gable-style), and the roof itself is Goshoghai style, logs covered with Japanese cypress bark thatching. There is also a white octagonal tower behind the grave. The octagonal tower houses a gravestone composed of five sections made at the death of Nichiren Shonin. It was a wooden hall. The stone octagonal tower was built in 1942. On the right side of the octagonal tower are the graves of successive head priests of Minobusan (Mount Minobu) Kuon-ji Temple, and on the left side of the octagonal tower is the grave of Nambu Sanenaga, who invited Nichiren Shonin to Mount Minobu. A memorial service is held on October 13 of each year, the anniversary of Nichiren’s death. A mando candle parade, in which votive lights are offered, is held on the night of October 12. This event attracts many people. On the 13th of each month, after Buddhist services are performed at the Soshi-do Hall of Kuon-ji Temple, a ceremony is held at Nichiren’s grave.
