Zuishin-mon Gate stands in front of the observation place from which visitors bow to the rising sun (yohai-sho) at 49-chome on the front approach. Rebuilt in 1921, this gate has a profound structure featuring double roofing with the sacred statues of the Ministry of the Right and Left. Visitors are offered a magnificent view on days when Mount Fuji can be seen clearly through Zuishin-mon Gate, as if framed by the gate. At the Spring and Autumn Equinox, the sun rises from the top of Mount Fuji, a beautiful sight known as Diamond Fuji. The phenomenon attracts professional and amateur photographers alike.
