An old empty inn building taken over by the town was refurbished into a tourism information center with a rest area in 2013. Visitors are always welcome to look inside, and the rest area is available free of charge. Honey and other local specialty food as well as art crafts produced in the Akasawa Area are sold at the store. There is also a café with a nice view on the 2nd floor offering soft drinks, ice cream, amazake (a sweet drink made from fermented rice), and mame-mochi (rice cake with beans). A tour guide for Akasawa-shuku is also available for tourist (charged).
