According to Kikuinroku (1522), the priest at that time was a nun from the Kurihara clan, so Kaishima Temple is believed to have been a nun temple where the Kurihara clan participated in the founding.
Kaito-ji Temple is said to have a deep relationship with the Takeda. There are many ancient documents left in the temple, and it is designated as a tangible cultural property designated by Yamanashi City as a Kaishima-ji Temple Document. Among them are prohibitions and seals by Takeda Shingen and Katsuyori.
